I can remember when January was a desert of a month for television – nothing but reruns. Say what you will about cable TV, at least they stagger their seasons against network TV.
This month brought back The Closer with Kyra Sedgwick whom I’ve always enjoyed, Burn Notice, which isn’t half bad; Pysch, a silly show that I actually enjoy, and the incomparable Battlestar Galactica - which has gone unwatched so far.
What I seem to be watching most though is reruns of Bones and NCIS, with a bunch of BBC America thrown in. I enjoy all the stuff like Bargain Hunt, Cash in The Attic, How Clean is Your House – and of course, all of Gordon Ramey’s shows. He’s my hero – he taught me to make real gravy!
Wow. It sounds as though watching TV were all I do! I will admit, it’s usually on, though I am also crafting or reading at the same time . . .
Bones is wonderful! Have you read the books by Kathy Reichs? They’re great but the show has very little in common with them, except for the character’s name (Temperance Brennan) and the fact that she is a forensic anthropologist (and I know I slaughtered that spelling).
I’m watching Ghost Hunters, and GH International, my Duke basketball team, and soon, gratefully soon, it will be Tigers baseball. The network shows pretty much leave me cold, beyond House and Bones that is.
And doesn’t everyone have the TV on as background filler?

House comes up against NCIS, so I watch it on the internet.
And I haven’t read the books yet, though I intend to.
